Questions

# The things people ask me first.

If your question is not here, ask it in the consultation. Nothing is too small to bring up.

### How does payment work?

This is a private-pay practice. Fees are $150 for a 60-minute session and $400 for an ART intensive, and payment is due in full at the time of booking.

### Do you provide documentation for my own records?

Yes. You may request access to your treatment records. If you need a letter, form, treatment summary, or other documentation for a third party, please ask in advance.

### What is a Good Faith Estimate?

Under the No Surprises Act you have the right to a written estimate of expected costs before beginning care with a private-pay provider. Ask and I will provide one.

### How many sessions will I need?

I cannot tell you before we start, and I would be suspicious of anyone who could. We set goals at the beginning and review against them rather than continuing by default.

### Where do you practice?

Secure video only, for adults physically located in Kentucky or Ohio at the time of the session.

### Do you work with children, teenagers, couples or families?

Not at this time.

### What happens in a consultation?

We talk about what you are struggling with and how you would like your life to be different. You can ask whatever you would like, and we will determine whether we are a good fit. There is no obligation to book an appointment after the consultation.

### Is ART right for everyone?

No. ART is not the right fit for every person or every issue. During the consultation, we will discuss what you are struggling with and whether ART, or another therapeutic approach with me, may be the best fit.

Fees and policies in full are on [Rates](/rates), and what a session actually involves is on [How ART Works](/how-art-works).

## Start with a free fifteen-minute consultation.

A free, confidential fifteen-minute conversation. Ask whatever you want about ART and about how I work. There is no obligation to book anything afterwards, and no pressure if you decide the timing is not right.
