If you have a client who is stuck on a specific target, I offer focused ART treatment as an adjunct to your ongoing work, not as a transfer of care. ![Deep water at dusk](/assets/card-deep-CVOYiZDH.jpg) ## The Arrangement You keep the therapeutic relationship. I take a defined piece of work, usually a specific memory, image or reaction that has not moved, treat it over a short course of ART sessions or a single intensive, and your client returns to you. I will tell you what we targeted and what shifted, with your client's written authorization. I am not looking to take on long-term caseload from referrals, and I will say so to your client as clearly as I am saying it here. ## When to Think of Me ### Often a Good Referral - A client stuck on one target despite sustained progress elsewhere - Trauma-related symptoms that have plateaued in EMDR or in talk therapy - A specific phobia driving disproportionate avoidance - A client who cannot tolerate repeated narrative retelling - A client whose schedule suits an intensive better than weekly sessions ### Probably Not a Good Referral - A client needing stabilization or a higher level of care - A client without a definable target - A client outside Kentucky and Ohio - Children, adolescents, couples or families, as I work with individual adults only ## About the Approach [Accelerated Resolution Therapy](/how-art-works) uses smooth-pursuit bilateral eye movement alongside a structured protocol that includes voluntary image replacement. It shares mechanism territory with EMDR and differs in protocol and in the imagery component, which is why some clients who have plateaued in one respond to the other.
