# PTSD Treatment in Cleveland, OH

For adults whose body still treats one past event as an ongoing emergency. Video only, Ohio and Kentucky.

## The Injury Nobody Filed a Report For

A great deal of what I hear from this part of the state involves work. Something on a line, a dock, a lift or a floor. Sometimes the person was hurt. Very often they were not, and they watched somebody else get hurt and then clocked in at the same station the following morning because that is what the schedule said.

A physical injury gets paperwork and a follow-up. The image does not. It stays, and it shows up at three in the morning, or when a particular noise comes from a particular direction, or when a new hire stands where the other person was standing.

## The Rest of What People Bring

Health care staff, given how much of the region's employment sits inside hospital systems, carrying codes that went badly and patients they can still describe in detail. Adults who were robbed or assaulted. People who lost somebody suddenly. Adults raised in households where the danger was routine and never named.

I do not write documentation for workers' compensation claims, disability determinations or any other evaluative purpose. This is treatment, and keeping it separate from anybody's claim file is part of what makes the hour usable.

## The Shape of the Work

One target at a time. Eye movements while you hold the memory, physical charge down first, then you change the image. We check where you are before we close the session rather than ending on the hour regardless.

Sixty minutes, or up to three hours as an intensive, which fits people on twelve-hour rotations. No detailed retelling required, adults only, private pay, and I will say so directly if I think you need more support than telehealth can provide.

This is not a crisis service.

If you are in crisis, please call or text 988, call 911, or go to your nearest emergency room. ART is not appropriate during active psychosis or acute crisis. Individual outcomes vary.

## Also in Cleveland

Everything here is by secure video, so where you are in Cleveland makes no difference to the work. These are the other things I am most often asked about locally.

## Telehealth Only, No Cleveland Office

There is no building to come to. Sessions happen wherever you can close a door, as long as you are physically in Ohio or Kentucky.

This practice is not a crisis or emergency service, and messages are not monitored around the clock. If you are in immediate danger, experiencing a mental health emergency, or having thoughts of ending your life with intent or a plan, call or text 988 (Suicide & Crisis Lifeline), call 911, or go to your nearest emergency room for an assessment. Veterans can press 1 after dialing 988.

Contacting this practice does not establish a client relationship. Individual outcomes vary. Nothing on this site guarantees a specific clinical result.
