ART Intensives
Concentrated work on one target.
Extended sessions of up to three hours, for people who want focused treatment on a specific problem rather than open-ended weekly therapy.
Why Longer Sessions
A standard hour spends real time settling in and real time closing down. An extended session gets past both. It allows a target to be worked through in one continuous piece rather than reopened week after week.
That suits some people very well and others not at all. It depends far more on what we are working on and where you are than on preference.

How it runs
01
Consultation and planning
A free fifteen-minute call, then a planning conversation where we identify the specific target and agree whether an intensive is the right container for it.
02
The intensive
Up to three hours by secure video, with breaks built in and paced to you. We work the target through rather than stopping at the hour.
03
Afterwards
Some people return to their existing therapist with the target resolved. Some continue with me. Some do not need either. We decide at the end based on what actually happened.
Who It Suits
A Good Fit
- You have a specific, identifiable target rather than a diffuse sense of being unwell
- You are stable in your daily life and actively participating in your own treatment
- Your schedule makes consistent weekly sessions genuinely difficult
- You have plateaued in longer-term therapy and want to work one thing through
Not the Right Fit Yet
- You are currently in crisis or need stabilization first
- You require a higher level of care than outpatient telehealth
- You are looking for open-ended supportive counseling without a defined goal
- You are experiencing active psychosis, or thoughts of ending your life with intent or a plan
Cost
$400 per intensive, up to three hours. Payment is due in full at the time of booking. Full details on the Rates & Policies page.
Start with a free fifteen-minute consultation.
A free, confidential fifteen-minute conversation. Ask whatever you want about ART and about how I work. There is no obligation to book anything afterwards, and no pressure if you decide the timing is not right.
