Who I Work With
Therapy for Corporate Leaders
For executives and senior leaders who are read by everyone else for reassurance, and who have nowhere in the building to put any of it down.
Everyone Is Reading Your Face
People take their cue from you before you say anything. They watch how you walk into the room after a bad number, how long you pause before answering, whether you sound certain. That reading is constant, and it means your composure is not a personal preference. It is part of the job, and it does not switch off at six.
Some of what you carry is ordinary pressure. Some of it is not: the layoff you decided on and then announced, the accident on a site you are responsible for, the call you took about someone on your team, the year everything held together only because you did not stop. Any one of those can leave a specific image that keeps returning while you run a perfectly normal meeting.
You have described it to no one, because there is no one at your level to describe it to.
No Peer, and a Visibility Problem
The higher you go, the fewer people can hear it without it costing something. Your team cannot, because reassurance flows one direction. Your board cannot, because they are assessing you. A peer at a competitor is still a peer at a competitor. Your family gets the version that will not worry them.
Then there is the practical part: you are known inside your own organization. An appointment on a shared calendar, a name recognized in a waiting room, a benefits program administered by people two floors down. It is enough to make postponing look like the sensible option, indefinitely.
This practice sits entirely outside your company. It is by secure video, it is not connected to any employer or assistance program, and it produces no report to anyone. I hold your confidentiality within the ordinary legal limits I go over before we begin, and nothing leaves without your written authorization.
What a Session Looks Like Here
We name a target, usually something specific rather than a general sense of pressure, and I guide the eye movements while you hold what comes up. It is directive and it works toward what you name, which tends to suit people who would rather do something than talk around it.
You control how much you say out loud, and detailed narration is not required. You do not have to arrive with an agenda or manage the hour so it runs efficiently. Sessions are 60 minutes by secure video, or up to three hours as an ART intensive, which many people in this position prefer because one protected block is easier to defend than a standing weekly hour.
What This Is Not, and When It Is Not the Fit
- Not executive coaching, leadership development, performance consulting or business advice.
- Not an employee assistance program, and not affiliated with any employer, board or organization.
- Not a fitness for duty evaluation, a workplace investigation, or documentation for HR.
- Not medication management, which stays with your prescriber.
- Not a claim about any outcome, and never a promised number of sessions.
- Adults only, by secure video in Kentucky and Ohio.
This is not a crisis service.
If you are in crisis, please call or text 988, call 911, or go to your nearest emergency room. ART is not appropriate during active psychosis or acute crisis. Individual outcomes vary.
Fifteen minutes, off the record, no charge.
A short call by video or phone. You describe what is going on, I tell you how I would approach it and answer questions about ART. Nothing is worked on in that call and you decide afterward.
