Reclaim Trauma Therapy

Who I Help

Insightful adults who are tired of managing it.

Adults in Kentucky and Ohio who are balancing careers, relationships and responsibilities while privately dealing with the effects of what happened to them.

What Most of My Clients Have in Common

They are functioning. Often visibly well. They are also carrying intrusive memories or images, a body that stays braced, guilt that does not match the facts, self-doubt that undermines decisions they are qualified to make, and reactions that arrive faster than their judgment.

Nearly all of them are insightful. They have read about it, thought about it, and in many cases already been in therapy. They arrive wanting something more focused than another year of understanding it better.

Where I Am Especially Useful

Adults living with PTSD

Where a diagnosis is already in place and the symptoms have not moved enough. Focused, goal-oriented treatment rather than open-ended support.

Professionals who witness trauma as part of the job

Paramedics, emergency physicians, nurses and other therapists. The cumulative kind, which rarely gets treated because it never looks like a single event.

Veterans and first responders

People who are used to functioning through it, and for whom "how are you doing" has never been a question with a real answer attached.

People living with phobias

Specific, avoidance-driven fears that quietly reorganize a life: the routes not taken, the things declined, the time lost to going around.

Each page covers who it is for, what ART does for it, what a session looks like, and where it is not the right fit.

Being Straight About This

I am not the right clinician for you if you are looking for open-ended supportive counseling without defined goals, if you currently need crisis stabilization or a higher level of care, or if you are primarily seeking medication management, psychological testing, or court or forensic evaluation.

I work with individual adults. I do not offer couples therapy or family therapy. I do not treat substance use disorders or eating disorders as a primary concern, though I will treat underlying trauma that contributes to them.

If any of that describes what you need, tell me at the consultation and I will point you toward the right kind of provider.

Start with a free fifteen-minute consultation.

A free, confidential fifteen-minute conversation. Ask whatever you want about ART and about how I work. There is no obligation to book anything afterwards, and no pressure if you decide the timing is not right.
